The Department of Posts, Maharashtra Circle, celebrated Maharashtra Day on 1st May 2025 with a series of special activities

To mark the occasion, a Special Cancellation and a Commemorative Postcard, honouring the rich history, culture and heritage of Maharashtra was released.

An Exhibition is organized at the iconic Mumbai GPO, highlighting the vibrant history, cultural legacy and traditions of the state.

The exhibition is open to the public from 1st May 2025 until 3rd May 2025. Participants of the Dhai Akhar, “Universal Postal Union" UPU Letter Writing, and SPARSH competitions were invited to attend the event and be part of the celebration.

The event was presided over by the Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Amitabh Singh, 'Padma Shri' awardee Achut Palav, graced the occasion. Officers and officials of the Department, Philatelists, art enthusiasts, and members of the public attended the event.
