BSE Odisha Class 10 Results 2025 Declared: Girls Outperform Boys, Gajapati Tops With 99.3% Pass Rate

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on Friday announced the Class 10 (Matric) Examination Results 2025, along with the Madhyama and State Open School Certificate Examination results. The results were declared at 4:30 PM on May 2, with provisional scorecards made available online from 6 PM onwards.

This year, over five lakh students appeared for the Class 10 examinations held from 20 February to 4 March 2025 across more than 3,300 centres in the state. Out of the 5,10,779 registered students, 5,02,417 appeared and 4,84,863 passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 94.93%. The pass percentage saw a slight dip from last year’s 96.07%.

Girls outshone boys in this year’s exams. While 2,44,612 girls passed with a 96% success rate, 2,40,251 boys cleared the exams with a 94% pass percentage. According to Times of India, School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond said, “A total of 94.93 per cent students have cleared the Class 10 board exams in Odisha.”

Among the districts, Gajapati recorded the highest pass rate at 99.3%, followed by Ganjam at 98.10% and Jharsuguda at 97.87%. Koraput district registered the lowest pass percentage. Notably, no school in the state reported zero results, while 3,273 schools achieved a 100% pass rate.

In terms of grading, 1,112 students scored an A1 grade (above 90%), while 12,200 secured A2, 38,831 received B1, and 84,971 were awarded B2. Over one lakh students obtained a C grade, and 67,013 passed with an E grade. Meanwhile, 17,384 students received an F grade, one result was withheld, and 169 students were booked under malpractice.

The board has advised students to download their provisional marksheets from the official websites—bseodisha.ac.in and orissaresults.nic.in—using their roll number and date of birth. These online marksheets are provisional and students will need to collect their original certificates from their respective schools later, as per instructions.

For those without internet access, results can also be accessed via SMS by sending “OR10 Roll Number” to 5676750. Additionally, marksheets are available on DigiLocker by logging in through Aadhaar or mobile number.

Heads of institutions can download the Tabulation Register (TR) from 7 PM onwards, which contains detailed performance data essential for filling forms for the upcoming BSE Odisha Supplementary HSC Examination 2025.

Students unsatisfied with their scores can opt for revaluation or appear in supplementary exams. Dates and procedures for the same will be announced shortly on the board’s official website.
