Bhopal: Women Take To Streets Against Love Jihad

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Hindu outfits staged sit-ins at 25 places in the state capital in protest against recent Love Jihad incidents in the city. Even women participated in the protest under the banner of Sakal Hindu Samaj.

The RSS played an important role in the protest led by women. The office-bearers of the Sangh and the leaders of the BJP organised the demonstrations. It happened for the first time that the women took the command of such a protest.

After some incidents of Love Jihad, the RSS has been trying to put some check on such cases. The outfits also staged sit-ins in other cities. The protestors raised slogans against Love Jihad.

Councillor Priyanka Mishra, who participated in the protest, said people were raising their voice against the way the girls were being exploited. Awareness should also be raised among girls, she said.

A BJP leader, Bhakti Sharma, said the people should serious views on such issues. Those found guilty in such cases should get stricter punishment, she said. The demonstrations are being held to raise awareness among girls, she said.

Rallies taken out in different places The Hindu outfits took out rallies from different parts of the city before staging the sit-ins. A large number of women participated in these rallies, carrying placards against Love Jihad.
