Girls Gift Of God Says Minister Govind Singh Rajput

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): Minister for civil supplies Govind Singh Rajpur has said the girls are the gift of God. The minister made the statement at a Ladli Lakshmi Utsav on Friday. MP Lata Wankhede and officials of the district administration were present on the occasion.

Once the birth of a daughter was considered a curse, but the awareness campaign launched by the government changed the views of the people about the girls, the minister said. The girls are flying fighter aircraft and fighting legal battles as lawyers in the Supreme Court and the high courts across the country.

Nearly 1, 68,000 girls of the district have become Ladli Lakshmis, Rajput said.  

The government is giving financial assistance to girls from their birth to their weddings through Ladli Lakshmi Yojna, Rajput said. According to Rajput, parks in Sagar are named after Ladli Lakshmi.

The Ladli Lakshmi Yojna has completed 18 years, the minister said. Wankhede has said girls should be made self-reliant so that they can do their work with confidence. The government is doing a lot of work for the welfare of girls, she said.

Ladli-Lakshmi Utsav organised

Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): The directorate of Women and Child Welfare Department organised Ladli Lakshmi Utsav at the auditorium of Nagar Palika on Friday. The event took place following from instructions of collector Sonia Meena.

District president of the Mahila Morcha Archana Purohis, chairperson of Women and Child Welfare Committee Richa Tiwari, MLA’s representative Seema Tiwari were present on the occasion. A large number of Ladli Lakhsmis were also present on the occasion.

Purohit congratulated the girls on the occasion. The girls also shared their experiences about the Yojna with the audience and guests.
