BIG move by Tata Group months after Ratan Tata’s death, TCS partners with major airline to…
In a major move, Tata Group-owned Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with Jazeera Airways, a low-cost airline from Kuwait, to build a new digital system to help the airline grow, improve customer experience, and explore news ways of earning more revenue.
Jazeera Airways started in April 2004. It was the first private airline in the Middle East. Now, the airline flies to over 60 cities in the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and Europe. Every year, more than 5 million people travel with Jazeera Airways. This year, the airline is completing 20 years of service. To mark this important moment, Jazeera is planning a big change by improving its digital services.
In an official statement, the airline said that TCS will lead this change. TCS will create a new website and mobile apps for the airline. They will also build an AI-powered chatbot that can talk to customers and help them.
TCS will handle the entire project. They will use their skills in AI, product design, software development, testing, and improving systems. The goal is to change how passengers connect with the airline at every step, from booking a ticket to boarding the flight.
Barathan Pasupathi, the CEO of Jazeera Airways, said, “Together, we are building a modern platform that supports our future plans. It will focus on what customers need and help us work better”. The new digital system will help the airline grow bigger, offer personalised services, and increase earnings. TCS will provide connected digital tools that help customers get fast, simple, and useful services.
The new system will include a retail-based platform that allows the airline to sell extra services like seat selection, meals, and other add-ons. It will also have a smart tool that suggests better deals and extra services to customers, helping the airline to increase sales. Another part of the system is the ‘Customer 360° Insights Hub’, which will give the airline complete information about each customer. This will help them offer services that match the customer’s likes and needs. Along with this, a chatbot powered by Generative AI will be available on the website and mobile app to assist customers at every step.
As per ANI, The upgrade will also bring a new payment system that supports many currencies from different countries. This will make it easier for people from around the world to book tickets.
There will also be a smart promotional tool that shows special offers to the right customers. This will help the airline get more direct bookings through its own website and app.
Moreover, a new group booking platform will be introduced. This will make it simple for large groups to book tickets together and will give them a smooth and modern user experience.
Krithivasan, the CEO and MD of TCS, said, “With our knowledge in aviation and AI, and our strong engineering skills, we will help Jazeera build smart, simple, and scalable digital services.” TCS also said that this partnership proves its strong role as a trusted digital partner in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. TCS has been working in this region for over 30 years.
TCS works in 9 MEA countries. It helps more than 150 companies in different industries like manufacturing, healthcare, banking, retail, and media. TCS has been given the title of Top Employer for eight years in a row in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. This award was given by the Top Employers Institute.
