District Police Launch Massive Combing Patrol In Ujjain
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): 600 policemen of the district came out for combing patrol late on Friday. Employees of different police stations also arrested the miscreants. Apart from it, warrants were served and the location of the miscreants was checked.
SP Pradeep Sharma said that from the intervening night of May 2-3 till morning, the policemen of the district did combing patrol on a large scale in which ASP, CSP, SDOP and police station in-charge were present in the field. During the patrol, the police served 65 permanent warrants, 180 arrest warrants were served.
The current activities of 270 goons and history-sheeters were checked, 140 miscreants involved in theft and assault were checked. During the patrol, 6 absconding accused were also arrested.
According to SP, the objective of the campaign is to identify the anti-social elements active in the district, keep an eye on them and establish crime control. Meanwhile, SP suddenly reached traffic police station on late Friday and found the staff of the police station were present at the police station.
He held a review meeting on traffic management in which problems and their possible solutions were discussed. The major places in the city should be identified where traffic jams often occur. Special quick response teams will be formed at these identified places.
These teams will reach the spot immediately after getting information about the jam and will streamline the traffic system on priority basis. At the traffic pressure changes at different times of the day, QR teams will be deployed on rotation basis so that traffic can be managed better as per the time.
