MP Balbir Singh Seechewal holds blood donation camp in Philippines
Under the leadership of Rajya Sabha Member and environmentalist Balbir Singh Seechewal, a blood donation camp was organised by volunteers in the city of Paniqui, Philippines. Sixty-seven units of blood were collected at the camp. Seechewal called blood donation a noble act. He said children suffering from thalassemia required blood. He urged the expatriate Punjabi community to dedicate their lives to the social service.
The camp was organised with the support of the Red Cross Paniqui. Both men and women actively donated blood at the camp.
During the religious discourse held at Nirmal Kutiya in Paniqui, Seechewal shared teachings from Guru Granth Sahib, stating that the holy book was a shining beacon for humanity, offering guidance on how to live life correctly.
Seechewal appealed to the congregation to attend the upcoming 25th anniversary celebrations of the sacred Kali Bein Kar Sewa in July. He encouraged all volunteers, who had the time, to participate in the events, as Baba Nanak’s sacred Kali Bein had shown the world how to clean rivers and streams, and how to preserve natural water resources. Seechewal also thanked all volunteers who contributed their hard-earned income to social service initiatives.
