Man Arrested For Breaking Into Seema Haider’s House, Claims She Did “Black Magic” On Him

A man was arrested on Saturday evening for allegedly attempting to break into the residence of Seema Haider, a Pakistani national who made headlines in 2023 for crossing into India to live with her Indian partner. Police identified the accused as Tejas, a resident of Surender Nagar in Gujarat. According to officials, Tejas appeared to be “mentally disturbed” and had traveled all the way from Gujarat to Greater Noida in an apparent obsession with Seema.

“He hails from Gujarat and took a general coach ticket of a train from Gujarat to New Delhi. From New Delhi Railway station he reached the village by bus. He has screenshots of Seema on his mobile phone,” said Sujeet Upadhyay, Incharge at Rabupura Kotwali.

"During integration, he told police that Seema has done black magic on him," Upadhyay added. Further investigation is currently underway.
The incident occurred around 7 PM, when Tejas reportedly tried to enter Seema Haider’s home. He was immediately apprehended and later arrested. Seema Haider, 32, originally from Jacobabad in Pakistan’s Sindh province, entered India via Nepal in May 2023, bringing her four children along. Her journey and subsequent stay in Greater Noida with Sachin Meena, 27—whom she now claims to have married—sparked widespread media attention.

Following the recent terror attacks in Pahalgam, the Indian government has directed all Pakistani nationals residing in the country to leave. This directive has sparked public curiosity about the fate of Seema Haider—whether she will be allowed to stay in India or be sent back to Pakistan.

Seema, who has a daughter with her Indian partner Sachin Meena and four children from her Pakistani husband Ghulam Haider, has voiced deep concern over the situation. In light of the developments, including the suspension of visa services after the Pahalgam attack, she issued an emotional appeal to Indian authorities, fearing deportation.

"I was Pakistan’s daughter, but now I’m India’s daughter-in-law,” Seema said in a video shared on social media. “I do not want to go to Pakistan. I appeal to PM (Narendra) Modi and UP CM Yogi (Adityanath) to let me stay in India."
