Bollywood superstar Vinod Khanna was at the peak of his acting career when he decided to quit industry and join spiritual Guru Osho Rajneesh. However, he made a comeback after a 5-year hiatus, leaving behind the spiritual journey and marking his return to the glamours world. As he made a comeback into the movies after a really long time, he was filming for Prem Dharam (1987).

Director by Mahesh Bhatt, the film’s lead actress was Dimple Kapadia. As Khanna was asked to do an intimate scene after a really long time, several reports claim that the shot required the actor to hug and kiss Dimple. While filming the scene, Vinod Khanna lost his control and kept hugging and kissing her even Mahesh Bhatt screamed cut several times.

After shooting the scene once, Bhatt asked the two to redo the shot for a longer duration. He changed his position with the crew and sat a little far to take the shot. As per a report by Bollywood Shadis.com, Vinod Khanna continued hugging and kissing Dimple despite being said ‘cut’ loud and clear.

Mahesh Bhatt then intervened and rushed towards Khanna to release Dimple from him. Several reports claim that she was left traumatised after the whole shot and directly went to her makeup room. Later, Bhatt asked Vinod Khanna to convince her that he was drunk and apologise to her. Later, the actor himself admitted that he got carried away as he was filming an intimate scene after a very long break.

Talking about his personal life, Vinod Khanna initially married Geetanjali Taleyarkhan, and had two sons Akshay Khanna and Rahul Khanna. However, when he decided to move towards spirituality, Geetanjali tried hard to convince him to get back on track, but it couldn’t happen. The couple then decided to part ways in 1985. Later, Khanna tied the knot with Kavita Daftary and had a daughter and a son from his second marriage.
