No new rooftop restaurants in Kolkata, says KMC

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has decided to halt new rooftop restaurant permits and review existing ones following safety concerns. Raids were conducted, and some establishments were temporarily shut down. This action follows a surprise inspection by the Chief Minister and police identifying numerous violations of fire safety norms across the city.
