Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan cries on video criticising Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor and others

The film industry is a tough place for a newcomer, especially for the son of a most-loved, recently deceased actor. Babil Khan, son of Irrfan Khan, had posted and later deleted a video on Instagram where he was seen crying and calling out the "fakeness" of the film industry, specifically Bollywood.
The Qala and The Railway Men actor even called out names like Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, and Arijit Singh. While it's not clear what exactly transpired between him and these actors to warrant such a reaction, one assumes that the actor was triggered by some unpleasant experience that's in some way connected to them.
In one clip, he called Bollywood the "fakest, fakest, fakest industry" while acknowledging that there are a few who want "Bollywood to be better" and that he has much more to contribute. In another clip, he expressed his disappointment with certain actors, some of whom have the common factor of working with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
“What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arijit Singh. There are so many more names. Bollywood is so f*****. Bollywood is so screwed,” he said in the now-deleted video that is available on Reddit, where fans expressed concern for his mental well-being and noted that he has deleted his Instagram account.
Around five years ago, Babil had written a critical note on the industry, in which he said his father "was defeated in the box office by hunks with six pack abs delivering theatrical one-liners and defying the laws of physics and reality, photoshopped item songs, just blatant sexism and same-old conventional representations of patriarchy."
The son of Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar, Babil made his acting debut in Qala (2022). He last appeared in the cyber-thriller Logout, which is out on ZEE5.
