'Stop Looking For Drama': Siddhant Chaturvedi SLAMS 'Gossip Columns' After Babil Khan's Breakdown Video Goes Viral

Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi was in the limelight on Sunday after several media portals stated that Babil Khan, in his viral meltdown video, claimed that the Gully Boy star, along with several other actors, were rude to him. While Babil's team later clarified that the clip which was going viral was tweaked and doctored, Siddhant slammed netizens for "looking for drama".

Siddhant, who happens to be a close friend of Babil, took to his Instagram handle and wrote, "I usually never engage in sh*t written about me and my colleagues, but this one's personal. So to all the Redditors, Gossip columns & media portals of the internet. Stop. We love to hate and hate to love, is this what we've come to? (sic)."

He further continued, "Stop looking for drama here, All of us are working hard to bring drama to you on your screens. Shayad wahan thodi kami reh gai hogi ki aap hamari neeji zindagi mein wo dhoondhne lage ho?"

"Koshish jaari hai hamari taraf se, Aur aap bhi Koshish karein ki koi bhi judgement dene se pehle ek baar soch lein," he concluded.

He also shared a couple of videos of Babil, in which the young actor can be seen singing his heart out during a jamming session.

What did Babil Khan say?

It all began after Babil shared a video on his Instagram stories in the wee hours of Sunday, visibly experiencing a meltdown. In the video, he was heard saying, "Bollywood is the most fakest industry that I have ever been a part of. But there are few people that want Bollywood to be better...I got to show to you so much more, so much more, so much more. I have so much more to give you..."

He also named Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav in the video, and later, sobbed saying, "Bollywood is so fu*ked. Bollywood is so so rude."

As the clips went viral, netizens speculated that Babil had called Siddhant, Ananya, Arjun and the others "rude" in the video, but his team later clarified that the video circulating on the internet was edited.

Babil Khan's team issues statement

Sharing the original clip of Babil's breakdown, his team wrote in the statement: "A video of Babil has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context. In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry (sic)."

The statement also mentioned, "Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days. and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon (sic)."
