Babil Khan’s family issues statement on viral crying video, explains why he mentioned names of Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor

However, after a while, the actor took down the video. In the clip, Babil appeared visibly upset and in tears as he talked about experiencing a sense of isolation in the film industry. In the video, Babil referenced several individuals, including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, and even Arijit Singh.

After deleting the video, Babil also deactivated his profile. Now, Babil Khan’s family has spoken about the real intention behind taking the names of his fellow actors in the clip. His family said the actor is safe and is allowed to have ‘bad days.’

The family mentioned that Babil’s reason for naming actors Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh is not because they have been bullying him.

The official statement issued by Babil’s family read, “Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days — and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon.

That said, a video of Babil has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context.

In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration — for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the indutry.
