Mitch Marner misses practice after baby’s birth but could still play game 2

Mitch Marner skipped practice yesterday because he and his wife Stephanie welcomed their very first baby into the world, a baby boy. Fans feared the worst and feared he might have to sit Game 2 vs. the Panthers, but now it appears that he will be able to suit up. Having assisted the Maple Leafs in winning Round 1, Mitch Marner is now set to return as a new dad. The team and fans are looking forward to having him back on the ice better and happier than before.
