CBSE Results 2025: How To Check Marks Via SMS When CBSE Class 10 And 12 Results Are Announced?

CBSE Board Exam Results 2025: Class 10 and 12 Scores Expected Next Week — Here’s How to Check Yours

The wait is almost over for lakhs of students across India. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results next week, as per various media reports. In 2024, the results were declared on May 13 and CBSE declared the Class 10 and 12 results in 2023 on May 12.

This year, the Class 10 exams were conducted from February 15 to March 1, while Class 12 exams held from February 15 to April 4. An estimated 44 lakh students appeared for the exams.

Easier Access to Results — Even Without Internet

Understanding the problems in digital modes in various parts of the country, CBSE has rolled out an SMS-based service to help students access their scores easily — even in areas with limited internet connectivity.

To receive results via SMS, Class 10 students can type:

CBSE10 <Roll Number> <School Code> <Centre Number>

Class 12 students can simply replace '10' with '12'

CBSE12 <Roll Number> <School Code> <Centre Number>

Send the message to 77382 99899, and your results will be delivered straight to your phone.

This method of accessing the results would also come handy if the CBSE results websites are down due to lakhs of students logging in simultaneously to check their results.

Step-by-Step Guide To Check CBSE Results 2025 Online

For students who prefer digital platforms, CBSE results can be accessed through several official channels, including websites and mobile apps. Here's how:

  • Click on the Results tab and select your class (10 or 12).
  • Enter your roll number, school code, and other required details.
  • Complete the captcha verification.

  • Download it and take a printout for future reference.

Using DigiLocker App

Download the DigiLocker app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

Open the app and choose your Class (10 or 12).

Input your school code, roll number, and the six-digit PIN provided by your school.

You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Once verified, your digital mark sheet will be available under the “Documents” section.

  • Launch the Umang app on your device.
  • Go to All Services > CBSE > Class 10 or 12.

Final Marksheets From Schools Only

While digital copies are helpful for immediate reference, they are provisional only. Students will need to collect their official, final mark sheets directly from their respective schools once they are made available.

What's the Passing Criteria?

To successfully pass the CBSE board exams, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject — both in theory and practical (if applicable) — as well as in the overall total.
