‘Sitaare Zameen Par’: Aamir Khan launches poster for the much-awaited sequel

Get ready for an emotional ride as Aamir Khan has unveiled the poster for the much-anticipated sequel to his directorial debut. After repeated delays, Khan debuted the poster of Sitaare Zameen Par, with added confirmation that the film will hit the silver screens on June 20.
The actor made the announcement on his production house’s Instagram, with the caption, “A film celebrating love, laughter and happiness.” The poster also features the tagline “Sabka apna apna normal” (Normal is to each their own).
The film, unlike the first, will be helmed by R.S. Prasanna. Khan, aside from being the lead role in the film, also bankrolls the production along with his ex-wife and frequent collaborator Kiran Rao. The soundtrack is composed by the same trio behind the first film, Taare Zameen Par—Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy—with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Fans were ecstatic upon seeing the poster, one user commenting under the post, “Yaaayyyyyy! Taare zameen par is the only movie is have ever really cried watching. There’s soon going to be a second,” while another wrote, “Aamir Khan never fails to bring meaningful stories. This one looks special too!”

It was earlier revealed by the actor that Sitaare Zameen Par’s storyline will not continue from its prior, but it will thematically remain the same. “It is about people who are differently abled. It is about love, friendship and life. Taare Zameen Par made you cry but this film will make you laugh. It’s a comedy but the theme is the same,” Khan said.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a remake of the Spanish film Champions (2018).
