AI Meets Leadership: Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas to Speak on the Future of Decision-Making

Among the headline speakers is Aravind Srinivas, CEO and cofounder of Perplexity — an AI-powered conversational search engine that's making waves in tech circles. At India@2047, Srinivas will speak on “The Universal Manager: Leadership in the Age of AI”, a timely topic as artificial intelligence reshapes leadership models worldwide.

An alumnus of IIT Madras with a dual degree in electrical engineering, Srinivas later earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. It was during his time in academia that his passion for AI began to take shape. A stint at OpenAI in its early days was followed by research roles at DeepMind and Google. He returned to OpenAI in 2021, this time as a Research Scientist, before launching Perplexity AI in 2022.

Describing Perplexity as the “fastest way to get answers to any questions”, Srinivas notes that the company has built “the world's first generally available conversational answer engine that directly answers questions about any topic”. His startup has attracted attention — and capital — from high-profile backers, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

A Summit That Looks Beyond Rhetoric

India@2047 is not just another gathering of big names; it’s positioned as a turning point in national discourse. With its unique blend of visionary talks, real-world strategies, and intergenerational dialogue, the summit offers a clear-eyed look at how India can transition from ambition to action.

As the country faces global and domestic challenges alike — from technological disruption to climate imperatives — events like this offer a much-needed compass. And with minds like Aravind Srinivas leading the AI conversation, the future looks not just intelligent, but also inspired.
