From Foundation to Flame: Swarajyagatha Echoes Through Time

Pawar Public School, Dombivali, marked a significant milestone as it stepped into its 11th year of excellence with a powerful and culturally rich Annual Day celebration themed-Swarajyagatha. The event, held at the Savitribai Phule Auditorium on Wednesday, 30th April, 2025 for the students of Grade 9 to 12, paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj — the valiant founder of the Maratha Empire and a staunch champion of Hindavi Swarajya.

Graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Dr. Tushar Guha, and the Guests of Honour, Manjushree Patil and Dr. Anonna Guha, the event resonated with both warmth and reverence.

A vibrant medley of student performances unfolded throughout the afternoon. High-energy dance sequences brought alive Shivaji Maharaj’s conquests and defining moments, while evocative skits portrayed his diplomatic vision and indomitable spirit. Complemented by soulful musical performances and stirring narrations, the atmosphere brimmed with pride and patriotic fervour.

The Grand Finale was a breathtaking crescendo — a dramatic enactment of Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation, surrounded by the powerful rhythms of traditional instruments. Simultaneously, a parallel yoga display by students symbolised the essence of strength, unity, and inner discipline — virtues embodied by Shivaji Maharaj himself.

The Chief Guest of the afternoon, Dr. Tushar Guha, lauded the unwavering dedication of the students and their mentors. He praised their performance as a true magnum opus, calling them not just learners, but artists who poured heart and soul into their craft. The Guests of Honour, Mrs. Manjushree Patil and Dr. Anonna Guha, encouraged the young artists to continue with their passion of acting and nurture it.
