KSEEB Class 10 Results 2025: Karnataka Parents Celebrate Son’s Failure With Cake, Spread Message Of Unconditional Support
Karnataka Class 10 Results 2025: In a poignant display of blind encouragement, a Bagalkot, Karnataka, family decided to mark their son's failure in the Class 10 board exams by cutting a cake and boosting his morale. Seventeen-year-old Abhishek Cholachagudda, a student of Basaveshwar English Medium School, obtained 200 out of 625 marks—about 32%—and failed all six subjects in the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams.
Rather than showing disappointment, Abhishek's father, Yallappa Cholachagudda, who is a freelance photographer, had arranged a small party at home. Abhishek's mother, sister, and grandmother joined the family as they got together to cut a cake with his score on it, to motivate him and give him the necessary encouragement to try harder.
"My son failed in exams but not in life," Yallappa said. He explained how Abhishek had been badly scalded as a child and had experienced memory loss. Yet, in spite of all these issues, Abhishek's determination not to quit studying is a beacon of hope.
A clip of the party, in which the family is seen giving Abhishek cake and words of support, has gone viral on social media. The majority of netizens have praised the family's move as a good example of good parenting, especially in a country where study stress leads students to suffer from mental ailments.
Abhishek thanked his family for their unconditional support and assured to try once again for the exams. "Although I failed, my family supported me. I will again give the exam, pass, and prosper in life," he asserted.
This act of generosity by the Cholachagudda family is a heartwarming reminder that support and empathy can be incredibly strong in influencing a child's drive and resilience, especially during times of hardship.
