Cafe Mysore is one of the oldest Udupi eatery in Mumbai. Established in 1936, it is located in the Matunga area of Mumbai, where it has a loyal base of customers who regularly visit the place for South Indian food items like fluffy idlis, crispy Mysore masala dosa, flavourful rasam.
As per a report covered by The Print, Cafe Mysore is one of the restaurants in Mumbai’s Matunga East which is clubbed under the ubiquitous ‘Udupi’ food. The other eateries that are included in the list are Cafe Madras, Anand Bhavan, Ram Ashraya, and Mani’s Lunch Home that serve the South-Indian food loving customers of the area.
Earlier, billionaire Mukesh Ambani has also mentioned about the restaurant where he said that he used to eat at the famous Cafe Mysore during his college days. Also, as per the report, Dhirubhai Ambani and his sons, Mukesh and Anil used to visit the restaurant on a frequent basis.
Owner of Cafe Mysore
The owner of the Cafe Mysore was recently in news as the family was invited to the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Naresh Nayak, the current owner of the eatery visited the wedding venue of the Ambani family with his mother Shanteri. It was seen in the viral video that the newly married couple touched Shanteri’s feet.
As the family entered the wedding place, newly wed bride Radhika Merchant welcomed them by saying, “Every Sunday, we eat your food in our house.”
“It was overwhelming. Their gesture was majestic. The amount of love, gratitude and warmth they showed to my mother will forever be etched in my heart,” owner Naresh had said about the beautiful gesture from the Ambani family.
