Drug peddler arrested with marijuana cookies in Delhi

Gurugram police have arrested a drug peddler from Delhi who was supplying marijuana-laced cookies. The arrest was made on May 4. The police recovered over five kilogram of marijuana, 17.86 gram of MDMA and 87 marijuana cookies from the accused.

According to officials, the Sector 39 Crime Unit had earlier arrested another drug peddler near Medanta Hospital on April 22. At the time, police had recovered 328 gram of charas and 24 gram of marijuana from his possession. A case was registered against him at the Sadar police station.

During interrogation, the arrested individual disclosed the name of another peddler, leading the police to arrest him in Delhi. The accused has been identified as Maheshwar, a native of Garh Khera village in Faridabad district. He was residing in the Safdarjung Extension Enclave in Delhi.

“During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had supplied marijuana cookies after making them. Consuming marijuana cookies can also produce a more intense, longer-lasting high than smoking it. A case under the NDPS Act was already registered against the accused in Delhi and we are questioning him further after being taken to police remand,” said a spokesperson of Gurugram Police.
