CTTIK president meets Union Tourism Minister

JAMMU, May 5: During the ongoing Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) in Jaipur, the president of the Chamber of Tourism and Trade Industry Katra (CTTIK), Raj Kumar Padha, met with the Union Minister of Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, to discuss the current situation in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in light of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Padha conveyed the deep concerns of tourism stakeholders regarding the impact of the incident on the region’s travel and pilgrimage sectors. He emphasized the urgency of restoring confidence among tourists and ensuring robust security for visitors.
In response, Shekhawat strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack and assured Padha that the Government of India is taking comprehensive measures to stabilize the situation. He affirmed that detailed plans are being drawn up for the revival of tourism across Jammu & Kashmir, with a special focus on promoting and strengthening pilgrim tourism in the Jammu region.
