Deport all Pakistani nationals from state: Bindal

The BJP today staged protests and dharnas all over the state against the Pahalgam terror attack and demanded the deportation of all Pakistani nationals living in the state.

State BJP president Rajeev Bindal led the protest outside the Telegraph Office in the state capital. Senior BJP leaders, including MPs, MLAs and former legislators, took part in the protests in all 17 organisational districts in the state. Organisational secretary Sidhartan, former minister Suresh Bhardwaj and other leaders also took part in the protest in Shimla.

Bindal, while addressing party workers, said that the Pahalgam terror attack was not only an assault on tourists but also the entire nation. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a strong reply to any attempt by Pakistan to sponsor terrorism in India. The entire nation stands with the Prime Minister in retaliation to Pakistan’s attempts to create in strife in India,” he added.

Bindal later submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, demanding the deportation of all Pakistani nationals present in Himachal. “The Central Government has directed all Pakistani nationals staying in India legally or illegally to leave the country but the Himachal Government is silent on the issue. Most other state governments have acted on the matter. They have identified and sent Pakistani nationals back to their country,” he said.

He accused the Himachal Government of compromising on the safety of the state to appease a minority community. The BJP leaders and workers also paid tributes to the tourists who were gunned down by terrorists in Pahalgam.
