Namo Bharat train: Now you will get an AC bus as soon as you get off the Namo Bharat train, enjoy a pleasant journey at a low fare

NCRTC has started air-conditioned e-buses for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat train passengers. These buses will run from New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar stations.

New Delhi. Those traveling in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat train will neither have to rush in autos nor take Ola or Uber taxis to reach their homes. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has decided to run air-conditioned e-buses to provide last mile connectivity to Namo Bharat passengers. That is, air-conditioned buses will be waiting for you as soon as you get out of Namo Bharat station. These buses will take you to your destination at a low fare.

At present, Namo Bharat trains are running from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South in Meerut. This entire route is 82 km long. At present, only 55 km section is operational. By the end of 2025, Namo Bharat trains will start operating on the entire 82 km route. As soon as trains start running from Sarai Kale Khan station, this network will become stronger. Trial of Namo Bharat train is going on between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan.

Service started on three routes

AC buses have been started from New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar Namo Bharat stations. Three special routes have been decided. New Ashok Nagar to Anand Vihar ISBT, Anand Vihar ISBT to Ashok Nagar Border and Ashok Nagar Border to Mayur Vihar Phase-3 Paper Market. These e-buses will run from 6:30 am to 11 pm and will connect many areas like Chilla Village, New Kondli, Dallupura, Trilokpuri to the high-speed rapid rail network.

Easy travel, better connectivity

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) officials said that this initiative will connect passengers directly to e-buses as soon as they get off the rapid rail. This will not only make the journey to Ghaziabad and Meerut faster, but also more comfortable. This new initiative has been started under the Delhi Electric Vehicle Interchange (DEVI) scheme. NCRTC has already started services like e-rickshaw and Rapido at many stations. Now electric city buses have also joined this chain.

The aim of this initiative is not just to provide convenience but also to keep the environment clean. Services like e-buses and e-rickshaws will reduce pollution and people will be encouraged to use public transport instead of private vehicles. So the next time you get off the Rapid Rail, just get out and catch an e-bus.
