Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans Dream11 Team Prediction, Match Preview, Fantasy Cricket Hints: Captain, Probable Playing 11s, Team News; Injury Updates For MI vs GT Indian Premier League 2025 in Wankhede Stadium Mumbai 730pm May 6

High-flying Mumbai Indians team are all set to clash against Gujarat Titans in match no. 56 of the IPL 2025 season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday. Hardik Pandya’s MI are currently on a six-match winning streak which has taken them to third place on the Points Table. The five-time champions need a couple of wins to assure themselves of a berth in the Playoffs.

MI have the added advantage of playing two of the last three games at home, where they boast an impressive record of four wins in five outings. Shubman Gill’s GT, currently fourth on the table, have four matches left, including two at their Ahmedabad fortress, where they too have won four of five games. Under Gill’s captaincy, GT also require two wins to virtually seal a playoff berth.

GT’s top-order trio — B Sai Sudharsan (504 runs), Jos Buttler (470) and skipper Gill (465)— have been one of the most dominant forces this season, often setting the platform for victory. However, Tuesday’s clash could be decided by how they fare against MI’s formidable bowling unit, led by Trent Boult (16 wickets), Hardik Pandya (13), Jasprit Bumrah (11), and Deepak Chahar (9), who have consistently stifled opposition lineups.

While GT’s top three have dominated the scoring, the middle and lower order, apart from Sherfane Rutherford (201 runs), hasn’t had much time at the crease—something MI’s bowlers will look to exploit with early strikes.

Hardik Pandya, who led the Titans to the title in their debut season three years ago, is now orchestrating MI’s resurgence after a shaky start that included a loss to GT. As an all-rounder, Pandya (157 runs, 13 wickets) has been one of the tournament’s most versatile and impactful players.

For MI, Rohit Sharma (293 runs) has shown the ability to adapt and anchor the innings, while Suryakumar Yadav (475) has hit top form—both major concerns for opponents. Ryan Rickelton (334) has overcome a slow start to deliver strong contributions, easing the pressure on Rohit up front. Will Jacks is settling into his all-rounder role, and Tilak Varma (239) and Naman Dhir (155) have added depth to the lineup.
