Khel Udyog Sangh donates Rs54K to PM’s Relief Fund

Jalandhar-based industrial group, Khel Udyog Sangh, has sent a contribution of Rs 54,000 to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the care of families whose members were martyred in Pahalgam.

A total of 54 drafts of Rs1,000 each have been sent by the members of the group. The group has also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the ancestors of the sports industrialists came to Jalandhar from Sialkot after suffering the brunt of partition and lived in very adverse conditions like refugees.

It was with great difficulty that they established this industry and were able to support their families. “Being a border state, our ancestors faced many big crises, many times, while bearing the pain of partition. Hundreds of businessmen associated with our industry are always directly connected with Kashmir in terms of business,” the Sangh said in the letter.
