Jammu, May 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Police today issued a strong advisory urging the residents of District Jammu to refrain from sharing or circulating any information related to security deployments, operational movements, or sensitive locations on social media or other public platforms.
The advisory, issued in the interest of national security and public safety, warned that any such activity would attract strict legal action under the relevant laws.
The police, through a statement, made it clear that disclosing sensitive details—whether through images, videos, or text—can severely compromise ongoing security operations and pose a direct threat to lives and law enforcement efforts.
It emphasized the importance of responsible behaviour in the digital age, especially during times of heightened security alert.
“Your cooperation is crucial at this juncture for maintaining peace and public order,” the statement read, appealing to citizens to prioritize collective safety over the urge to share sensitive content.
