The weather department has predicted storm and rain on Thursday, which may add more coolness to the weather. There were light clouds in the sky on Tuesday morning. Amidst the strong winds, the sun kept peeking through the clouds sometimes. By around two o’clock in the afternoon, the sun became a little harsh. But after this, the clouds gathered once again.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 22.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be strong thunderstorms and rain due to the effect of western disturbance in the next 48 hours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh warning for many districts of UP, stating that there is a possibility of thunderstorms at some places, along with moderate rain and strong winds at the speed of 40-50 km per hour. These include all the cities of West UP including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur and Varanasi.

According to the IMD, UP is likely to receive rain and thunderstorms for at least the next two days, with a yellow alert issued till at least Thursday morning. The IMD has also issued a light rain warning for isolated areas of UP over the next 3 to 4 days and said the rainfall activity will persist here. The ‘yellow alert’ will continue till Thursday morning. Light to moderate rains with lightning and thunderstorms and strong winds are likely.
