Operation Sindoor: Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar describes India’s military action as ‘smart move’, says “Terrorism is against humanity and it has to be…”

New Delhi: Indian armed forces carried out brutal missile attacks early Wednesday on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including Bahawalpur which is a major base of Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit. Hailing India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, Art of Living founder and world-known Spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that those who don’t learn through diplomatic means have to be taught a lesson. “Terrorism is against humanity and it has to be uprooted. Our deities keep flower in one hand and weapon in another. Those who don’t learn through diplomatic means have to be taught a lesson. India took a smart step in the matter and only targeted terror bases,” Gurudev said.

The spiritual Guru further asserted that the country is heading in the right direction under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. “Indians within the country and abroad are afraid of what might happen. I want to reassure them that everything will be good and the country is taking the right decisions under the leadership of PM Modi, so nobody has to worry about terror…” he stated.

In the Pahalgam massacre as many as 26 people were killed as terrorists opened fire at Baisaran Valley on April 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, previously, vowed to avenge the attack and punish the terrorists and their backers in ways “far beyond their imagination”.

India Retaliates, Destroys Terror Camps in Pakistan:

The military strikes were carried out under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Army said in a statement released at 1.44 am. “A little while ago, the Indian Armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed,” the Army said.

It said the actions by the Indian Armed forces have been “focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature”. “No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution,” the Indian Army said.

India’s actions came two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack triggered widespread outrage in India and abroad. “These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered,” the Army said in the statement. “We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable,” it said.
