Absconder held in Thannamandi

RAJOURI, May 7: In a significant breakthrough, Thanamandi Police today apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for over a decade.
The accused, Mohd Arif, son of Raj Mohd, resident of Husplote Danna, Tehsil Thanamandi, was arrested by a team of Thanamandi police led by SI Nasir Ahmed, under the supervision of SHO Thanamandi, Inspector Hilal Azhar.
He said Mohd Arif was wanted in connection with FIR No. 145/2012, registered under Sections 376 and 363 of the RPC. During the course of the trial, the accused absconded, leading to prolonged delays in the judicial process.
Consequently, the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Rajouri issued a general warrant of arrest under Section 512 Cr.PC against the accused on May 29, 2015.
Thanamandi Police’s persistent efforts have finally led to the arrest of the long-absconding accused, ensuring that the due process of law is upheld and justice is served.
