NIA seeks public help in Pahalgam probe

New Delhi, May 7

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday appealed to tourists, visitors and locals with any information, photographs, or videos related to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.

The agency, which has already collected a significant amount of visual evidence, is now intensifying its efforts to ensure no crucial clue is missed. Official sources said the NIA is meticulously examining all available material to uncover the identities and methods of the attackers.

In an appeal posted on its website and social media handles, the NIA urged people to contact them via mobile at 9654958816 or landline at 011-24368800. Callers are requested to share their personal details and describe the nature of the information or media they wish to submit. A senior NIA official will then coordinate the collection of the material.

The agency believes that some individuals — whether tourists or locals — may have inadvertently captured vital details that could aid in exposing the conspiracy behind the attack. Numerous images and videos of the incident have already surfaced on social media. The NIA intends to scrutinise each one, along with any new evidence from those present in or around the area.
