Will provide free ration, medicines if war starts: Ware House Traders

JAMMU, May 7: In case of Indo-Pak war, J&K’s largest wholesale grain market ‘Warehouse-Nehru Market’ will provide free ration and essential medicines to the needy people.
This was stated by Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market president, Deepak Gupta here today in a press conference.
“There is no need for the common people to panic as in case of war the Federation will establish a Ration War Room and Medicine War Room at Warehouse office and will also start helpline numbers,” he maintained adding: “If someone is unable to visit Warehouse to get ration or medicines, then the essential goods will be delivered to his home.”
Deepak Gupta said the Federation is ready to serve the people of Jammu once again like it did during COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Federation has always helped the needy and carrying forward this legacy, it has been decided that in case of Indo-Pak war, the Federation will not allow any kind of ration shortage in J&K,” he continued.
The Federation president informed that in view of the current situation, prices of flour, rice, pulses and edible oils have also been reduced and there is sufficient ration for the next three months in Warehouse-Nehru Market and adequate supply of ration is being made in other districts also, so the public should not worry.
Dheeraj Mahajan, senior vice president; Abhimanyu Gupta, general secretary; Rahul Gupta, secretary and Nitish Gupta, cashier of the Federation were also present in the press conference.
