India's wireless subscriber base hits 1.16 billion in March, grows 0.28% monthly: TRAI

India's wireless subscriber base, including mobile and 5G fixed wireless access, experienced a slight increase of 0.28% in March, reaching 1,163.76 million. While urban subscriptions saw a minor decrease, rural subscriptions grew, impacting overall tele-density. Reliance Jio led in net mobile subscriber additions with 40.60% share, followed by Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL.
