After Operation Sindoor, Doval and Jaishankar on a special mission to…, pressure mounts for Pakistan as there is no escape from…
After the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that took 26 innocent lives, India responded with strength and determination, sending a clear message to the world about its firm stand against terrorism. Through Operation Sindoor, India not only destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), but also stepped up its global diplomatic efforts to expose Pakistan’s role in sheltering terrorism.
Following the strikes, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval launched a focused diplomatic mission. Doval personally reached out to top security officials and leaders from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, and France to explain the nature of the operation—clarifying that the strikes were carefully targeted at terrorist bases, avoiding harm to Pakistani civilians or military sites.
At the same time, Jaishankar emphasized India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism in conversations with international counterparts, helping build a unified understanding of India’s stance. These coordinated efforts were aimed at strengthening India’s global position and rallying international support in the fight against terrorism.
Terror wiped out in just 25 minutes
In the stillness of early morning, as the world slept, India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force launched Operation Sindoor. Between 1:05 AM and 1:30 AM, within just 25 minutes, they struck and completely destroyed nine terror camps. The mission targeted deadly terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen, eliminating over 90 militants. The precision of the strikes sent a strong message—it was as if India shattered the very backbone of terrorism.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri made it clear: “This was not an act of provocation, but a necessary response.” He emphasized that the operation was based on credible intelligence and aimed solely at uprooting terrorism from its roots.
Diplomatic precision in Delhi
On the same day in New Delhi, Vikram Misri held a high-level briefing with 13 foreign ambassadors. During the session, he laid out the full picture of the operation. When a UK representative questioned whether any mosques were targeted, Misri firmly responded, “We targeted a compound that was being used as a terror training camp.” His reply reflected both India’s transparency and its surgical precision in planning the strike.
On concerns about a possible retaliation from Pakistan, Misri said, “If Pakistan chooses to respond, India is ready.” His strong statement underlined India’s unwavering resolve and its zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
