After Operation Sindoor, two Muslim nations supported Pakistan, stood against India, they are…
India launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. As part of the operation, the Indian Air Force carried out precise strikes on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). As per various media reports, a large number of militants and their associates were killed in these targeted attacks.
In response, Pakistan condemned the strikes, calling them an “act of war.” It claimed it has the full right to defend itself and warned of a response at a time of its choosing. India, on the other hand, has already prepared for any potential retaliation. As tension rises, reactions are pouring in from around the world.
Two muslim nations stand openly with Pakistan
Amid this, two Muslim-majority countries have openly sided with Pakistan and criticized India for the airstrikes.
One of the countries to back Pakistan is Turkey. In a statement, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said: “We are closely watching the developments between Pakistan and India with concern. The airstrikes carried out by India last night (May 6) raise serious risks of a broader conflict. We strongly condemn such provocative actions and any attacks targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure.”
In a follow-up statement, Turkey said: “We urge both sides to act with reason and refrain from unilateral actions. We hope urgent steps will be taken to reduce tensions in the region, and that necessary mechanisms—especially in counter-terrorism—will be established to prevent such incidents in the future. We also support Pakistan’s call for a thorough investigation into the April 22 terror attack.”
Azerbaijan also backs Pakistan
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan has expressed concern over the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the strikes, saying: “We strongly condemn the military attacks on the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which have led to civilian casualties and injuries. In solidarity with the people of Pakistan, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the innocent victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured. We urge all parties to exercise restraint and resolve the conflict through diplomatic means.”
Both Turkey and Azerbaijan’s statements underscore a growing regional divide over India’s counter-terror operations.
