New Metro: Preparations to run new metro from Greater Noida West Line to Botanical Garden
There is a relief news for about 5 lakh people living in Greater Noida West. Metro work is likely to start soon in the area. This project will not only improve the means of transportation for the local residents but will also play an important role in development.
New Metro: On Tuesday, a delegation of people from Greno West, led by MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar, met Union Urban Housing and Energy Minister Manohar Lal. In this meeting, the delegation expressed concern over the progress of the Metro project. The Union Minister promised to complete this project soon.
A month ago, MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma had raised this issue in Parliament regarding the metro. After this, a meeting was promised to be held in a week, but the decision could not be taken till now. Due to this, the MP and MLA met the Union Minister and demanded to complete this project soon.
The delegation also demanded that the metro line of Greno West be directly connected to the Botanical Garden. For this, MLA Tejpal Nagar said that the Union Minister has taken the proposal in writing from him and assured that he will consider it seriously and will start the project as soon as possible and get the metro operational.
It is worth noting that six months ago the state government cabinet had approved the DPR of this project. 11 new metro stations will be built under this project. The central and Uttar Pradesh governments will contribute Rs 394 crore for this project.
This route will be an extension of the Aqua Line, which will significantly contribute to the development of Greater Noida West. The commencement of metro operations will increase the convenience of movement in the area and local residents will get better transport services. Thus, this is a positive development for the residents of Greater Noida West.
