Kia Carens Clavis First Look: More Features And A New Styling

Kia has revealed the Carens Clavis which is a more premium version of the Carens MPV. The new Carens Clavis is a new version of the Carens where there is a new look, more features while the engine options remain the same as the Carens. The Carens Clavis looks completely different from the front with the new digital face where like the Syros the Clavis has a blanked off grille design along with the ice cube headlamps/drls like the Syros. There are new 17inch alloys while the side view is similar to the current Clavis.

The rear has a connected taillamp setup but it looks similar to the current Carens too. Inside, there are bigger changes with the off centre logo on the steering like the Syros while the gear lever is all new and so is the connected display as also seen on the Syros minus the extra small screen on the middle. The infotainment system is also all new while the features list includes a panoramic sunroof, cooled seats, electric tumble down seats to gain entry to the third row, manual seat recline/adjust for the second row and you can also adjust the front passenger seat from the second row.

There is also a new digital instrument cluster, level 2 ADAS, an 8 speaker Bose audio system, 360 degree camera and more. Engine options stay the same but the Clavis has another 1.5l petrol manual option and the turbo petrol also has a manual option. The diesel continues with the manual as well as automatic while the turbo petrol also has an automatic option with being a dual clutch unit. We expect the Carens Clavis to cost more than the current Carens with bookings starting from tomorrow.
