Tamil Nadu Cabinet Portfolio Reshuffle: Duraimurugan Gets Law, Regupathy Named Natural Resources Minister

The Tamil Nadu government has announced a minor reshuffle in ministerial portfolios based on the recommendation of Chief Minister MK Stalin. In the new allocation, Duraimurugan, who currently serves as the Minister for Water Resources, has been additionally assigned the Law portfolio. 

On the other hand, S Regupathy has been entrusted with the portfolio of Minerals and Mines. With this new assignment, he has also been designated as the Minister for Natural Resources.

A release from Raj Bhavan said, "Based on the recommendation of the Hon'ble Chief Minister the portfolio of Law has been allotted to Thiru. Duraimurugan, Minister for Water Resources. Further, the portfolio of Minerals and Mines has been allotted to Thiru. S. Regupathy and he has been designated as Minister for Natural Resources."

Earlier, Minister Duraimurugan was holding the Minerals and Mines portfolio. Following the portfolio reshuffle, Duraimurugan will serve as the Minister for law, Irrigation Projects including small Irrigation, Legislative Assembly, Governor and Ministry, Elections and Passports.

Earlier, Minister Regupathy was holding the law portfolio including Courts, Prisons and Prevention of Corruption. 

An official communication regarding the changes was released by the Raj Bhavan, confirming the Chief Minister’s recommendations.
