Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to retaliate against India after the successful Operation Sindoor by Indian armed forces destroyed terror targets in PoK and the Punjab province. However, many Pakistani citizens were irked by the slow speech of their PM whom they said sounded 'weak and underconfident'.
In his televised speech, Shehbaz claimed that India committed a grave mistake and vowed to seek revenge for "every drop of Pakistani blood".
However, instead of evoking patriotism, Sharif's words drew ire of Pakistani citizens who slammed the PM's slow speech.
One of the Pakistani users said, "Shebaz uncle, please start speaking in 2x speed. We don't want a speech on every matter, please come to the point."
Another citizen said Shehbaz looked weak and underconfident. "It's not a good look. Just saying," the user added.
Annoyed by the Pakistani premier's slow speech, one citizen said, "Looking at the speed of Shahbaz Sharif's speech, the war may end but his speech won't."
Mocking the prime minister's pledge to retaliated against India, one user said, "Listening to Shahbaz Sharif, it seems that this is the only retaliation he wanted to show."
Another Pakistani citizen went on to call Shehbaz Sharif a coward, saying, "While addressing the nation on Indian attack, he didn’t even once mention that India has to pay for its actions. Unbelievable. Utterly disappointed. That’s why nations are built on true leaders, not imposed ones".
Yet another user said that after listening to the "cliched speech", it is clear that Pakistan is not planning to retaliate.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh clarified that Operation Sindoor is an ongoing operation. He said India does not want to escalate the situation but would strike back if Pakistan retaliates.
