Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar From Haryana’s Palwal Martyred In Cross-Border Shelling In Kashmir Following Operation Sindoor
Chandigarh: Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar, 32, of 5 Fd Regt, from Haryana’s Palwal district, was on Wednesday martyred in cross-border shelling by Pak army in Kashmir.
The shelling from Pakistan was in response to the Indian Armed forces’ execution of ``Op Sindoor’’.
Dinesh, who was recruited in 2014 and who was recently promoted to the rank of Lance Naik and post to Jammu and Kashmir, hailed from Mohammadpur village in Palwal district.
Dinesh along with four other soldiers, was patrolling along the line of control (LoC) when he was martyred in mortar shelling.
Dinesh was the eldest of five brothers and his two brothers are also serving in the army as ``Agniveers’’.
Dinesh’s father Daya Ram Sharma said that the village and the country are proud of him and they will send him off with hearts filled with pride. Dinesh’s son also wants to carry forward his father’s legacy by joining army, he added.
