India-Pakistan War: Pathankot Airbase under drone attack, precaution blackout across Jammu and Kashmir

India-Pakistan War: Multiple loud explosions were heard in the Jammu region on Thursday evening, creating panic among residents. According to the reports, explosions were also heard in Pathankot Airbase. The explosion comes a day after India carried out strikes on nine terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is still unclear what caused the explosion. “Complete blackout in Jammu. Loud explosions—bombing, shelling, or missile strikes suspected. Fret not—Mata Vaishno Devi is with us, and so are the valiant Indian Armed Forces,” former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid, posted on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the reports, soon after the blasts were heard, shopkeepers were seen rushing to their homes. According to Reuters, some residents even saw red flashes and projectiles in the sky before the explosions. The action by terror stata Pakistan came hours after India launched 24 missiles in 25 minutes on nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Muridke and Bahawalpur – strongholds of terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), respectively – in response to the terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag that claimed 26 lives on April 22.
