Indian Army Destroys Pakistan's Post Across LoC, Shares Video

New Delhi: The Indian Army on Friday morning released footage of it destroying a Pakistan Army post across the Line of Control (LoC) in retaliation to cross-border firing, reported NDTV. However, the exact location is not known. The video was released after Pakistan carried out drone attacks on the border areas of India on the intervening night of May 8 and 9. Notably, all these attacks were successfully repulsed by the Indian Armed Forces.

For the unversed, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed.

"Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir," the Indian Army in an X post said.

"The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs.#IndianArmy remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignity and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force," it added.

The Indian Army shot down more than 50 Pakistani drones during a large-scale counter-drone operation along the LoC and the International Border (IB) on Thursday night, sources confirmed to ANI.

The operation was launched after Pakistan made failed attempts to send multiple swarm drones into Indian territory across different locations. The Indian Army Air Defence units responded swiftly and targeted the drones in areas including Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Akhnoor, Nagrota, and Pathankot.

"Yesterday night, when Pakistan made failed attempts to send swarm drones all across various places along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Borders (IB), over 50 drones were successfully neutralised during a large-scale counter-drone operation conducted by Indian Army Air Defence units in the areas of Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Akhnoor, Nagrota, and Pathankot areas," sources told ANI.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's one F-16 and two JF-17 fighter jets were reportedly shot down by India on Thursday.
