Two arrested for killing Bengal woman, stuffing body in trolley bag in Gurugram

The police have arrested two persons for allegedly killing a woman whose body was found stuffed in a trolley bag on the Faridabad road.

According to the police, the woman was identified as Parveen, alias Riya (33), of Tiljala in West Bengal. She had been living in Nathupur village here. The accused were identified as Dinesh Kumar (22), a native of Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh, and Viplav Vishwas (26), a native of Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand. Both the accused lived in Sikanderpur village. Dinesh works at a medical store while Viplav works as a personal driver in Gurugram.

A woman’s blood-soaked body was found stuffed in a black trolley bag on the roadside near a school on the Faridabad road on May 3. The body was not identified and the Gurugram police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for anyone who identifies the deceased. An FIR was registered at the Sushant Lok police station.

During investigation, a team of the Sector 40 crime unit, arrested both the accused in the Sector 40 area on Wednesday night. Dinesh revealed that he had met her near the Sikanderpur metro station around 2 am on May 3 and took her to his rented house in Sikanderpur. After a while, both of them consumed alcohol, following which they got into an altercation over money transaction that led to the crime.

“After killing her, he disposed her body in a trolley bag, and with the help of his accomplice, Viplav, he took the bag on a motorcycle and threw it on the Faridabad road near the Sector 44 area. We are questioning the accused and her family has been informed about it,” said Inspector Amit Kumar, in-charge of the Sector 40 crime unit.
