Indian Army releases video of Pakistani post destruction across LoC
The Indian Army on Friday released its first official footage showing the destruction of a Pakistani military post across the Line of Control (LoC).
The strike was part of Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory action by India in response to repeated ceasefire violations and drone attacks from Pakistan.
The video, reportedly showing the use of anti-tank guided missiles to target Pakistani positions, marks the first visual confirmation from the Indian side of its military response.
While the exact location of the destroyed post remains undisclosed, multiple Pakistani installations along the LoC were targeted.
The operation follows a series of provocative actions by Pakistan, including drone and missile attacks aimed at Indian military stations in Jammu, Udhampur, and Pathankot on the night of May 8–9.
Indian forces successfully repelled these attacks, downing multiple drones, according to officials.
In a statement, the Indian Army affirmed its commitment to defending national sovereignty and responded firmly to the cross-border aggression. “All nefarious designs will be met with force,” the statement said.
Tensions have surged since India launched airstrikes on May 7 targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in response to a terror attack that killed 26 Indian tourists on April 22.
The strikes reportedly hit nine targets linked to terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
