Punjab cabinet to review emergency services in border villages

As tensions with Pakistan mount, the Punjab cabinet will review the emergency services in the state.

A meeting of the Cabinet is to be held at 11 am. They will inspect preparedness of hospitals and fire stations. A review of the available ration in the state and all emergency services will be held. Immediately after the Cabinet, all ministers will disperse towards the six border districts, said an official source in Chief Ministers Office. “As many as 10 ministers will leave for border areas immediately after the cabinet meeting,” he said.

It is learnt that Ministers Lalchand Kataruchak and Dr. Ravjot Singh will go to Gurdaspur. Ministers Kuldeep Dhaliwal and Mohinder Bhagat will take charge of Amritsar, while Ministers Laljit Bhullar and Harbhajan Singh ETO will reach Tarn Taran. Hardeep Mundian will accompany Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian in Ferozepur.

Other than this, Ministers Dr. Baljit Kaur and Tarunpreet Sondh will look after the arrangements in Fazilka.
