‘Coordinate with J&K Govt for safe evacuation of students’

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed officials to coordinate with the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure safe evacuation of 103 students from Himachal who are pursuing their studies in the state.

Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania today met the CM here today and apprised him about the concerns raised by the parents of students who are studying at various places in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Himachali students studying in Jammu and Kashmir, mostly in Srinagar, are stranded amid the prevailing tension between India and Pakistan. He said that about 103 students were currently pursuing their studies in Jammu and Kashmir and their families were worried about their well-being and have urged their safe return to their homes.

The CM assured that the state government would ensure safety and well-being of the Himachali

students.
