India’ had vast military base with its fleet of advanced fighter jets that dominates the South Asian region. It is equipped with modern technology and the Indian Air Force (IAF) is far superior than Pakistan.

1. Dassault Rafale

The Dassault Rafale is an aircraft developed by France’s Dassault Aviation, and is among the world’s most advanced fighter jets. It’s known for its precision and India currently has 36 Rafale jets which has improved its offensive and defensive capabilities.

2. Mirage-2000

It was launched in March 1978 and is a fourth-generation fighter jet. It has a single-engine design and multiple variants. It’s part of the air forces of different countries like India, UAE, Qatar, and Taiwan. 

3. HAL Tejas LCA

The HAL Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) is made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is lightweight and shows India’s self-reliance in defense technology. The Indian Air Force inducted its first Tejas aircraft in July 2016.

4. Sukhoi Su-30MKI

It was jointly developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Russia’s Sukhoi Design Bureau, the Sukhoi Su-30MKI. Its versatility and adaptability make it unique, as it operates around 300 units. After the signing of a 2000 MoU with Russia, the Su-30MKI has been manufactured under license in India.

5. Mikoyan MiG-21
