New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Shapoorji Pallonji Group has lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their swift and decisive action under Operation Sindoor. India launched Operation Sindoor after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam. The operation was precise, targeted only terror camps and avoided Pakistani military sites. India’s actions in Operation Sindoor were not about revenge but were about defence and keeping its citizen safe.
In a statement, Group Chairman Shapoorji P. Mistry emphasised national unity and pledged the conglomerate’s support for India’s security apparatus. “In these trying times, it is very important for all of us to stand together as a nation. The Shapoorji Pallonji Group is fully committed, in any and every capacity, to support the efforts of the Government of India and the Armed Forces, to protect the integrity and sovereignty of India,” Mistry said.
A Mumbai-based engineering and infrastructure giant has joined a growing number of Indian companies publicly supporting the armed forces. This backing comes in the wake of revelations that Pakistan employed civil aviation cover to facilitate drone strikes targeting both military and civilian installations. Indian forces successfully intercepted and neutralised these drones. Additionally, the drone and missile attacks were accompanied by intense artillery shelling along the Line of Control, resulting in heavy casualties for the Pakistani Army.
Gautam Adani, the chairman of the eponymous Adani Group also took to social media and said that his group stands in “unwavering solidarity,” and is “committed to supporting our armed forces”. The Mahindra Group has said it stands in admiration and deep respect for the bravery and precision demonstrated by the Indian armed forces during the ‘Operation Sindoor’.
