Haryana CM Nayab Saini to lead Tiranga Yatra in Panchkula

The yatra aims to ignite national pride and unite people across communities in honouring India’s soldiers. The march will begin at the open-air theatre in Yavanika Town Park, Sector 5, and culminate at Major Sandeep Shankla Chowk, where the Chief Minister and other dignitaries will lay floral tributes at the memorial.

To ensure seamless coordination, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, K Makrand Pandurang, chaired a preparatory meeting at the District Secretariat. The session was attended by officials from various departments, representatives of voluntary groups, and educational institutions.

Speaking at the meeting, Pandurang appealed to citizens across all communities and political affiliations to actively participate and express their collective gratitude towards the armed forces. “This yatra is not just a march; it is a heartfelt salute to those who safeguard our nation,” he added.

IG (Community Policing and Outreach) Pankaj Nain, Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta, and senior administrative officials were also present to oversee arrangements and encourage wide community involvement.

The event is expected to send a strong message of unity and patriotism, reinforcing the spirit of national solidarity at a time when acknowledging the role of India’s defence personnel remains more important than ever.
