MC team catches 11 heads of stray cattle in Yamunanagar dist

A team of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), has caught 11 heads of stray cattle from various areas of Ward12 and 21 of the MCYJ. The cattle were sent to the gaushalas.

According to information, a team led by Chief Sanitary Inspector (CSI) Sunil Dutt reached Ward12 to catch the stray cattle.The team of the MCYJ caught six bovines roaming in various areas, including Pansara and Badi Majra village of the ward.

The team also caught five of these from different places in Ward 21 and took these to the gaushalas. “The campaign will continue until every stray cattle is caught from the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri,” said Dutt.

He said the residents should take photographs of the stray cattle roaming in the MCYJ area and send these to WhatsApp number 7082410524 of the MCYJ along with their address and location. He said after getting information, the team would reach the spot and catch the stray animals.

The MCYJ has formed separate teams under the leadership of CSI Harjeet Singh in Zone 1 and CSI Sunil Dutt in Zone II to catch the stray cattle. Dutt further said the people should not leave the cows in the open.

“If anyone abandons their cattle in the open, a fine of Rs 5,100 will be imposed on him,” said Dutt.
